Hikidashiguro plate blue
The black glaze made of iron and ash has its origin from Japan, but was modified by Matthias Kaiser. All the pieces with the iron/ash glaze were burned very hot in the ceramic furnace, which melts the metal and the ash together. This approach creates an interesting structure. The clay that Kaiser is using comes from the Czech Republic and is natural. Each piece is unique, so shapes and colors may vary.
